Writing After a Long Absence

Hello again!

It's been awhile since I have written anything or even submitted my running logs (we're more than halfway through April and I just published my March log). So many things have been going through my mind, but I think I was in a better place to process them and didn't feel the urge to write as much. So, what's been happening?

School
School is always a trip this time of year. Teachers and students are both looking forward to the warm and sunny days of summer while also preparing for the ever-loved state testing that is *fortunately a part of my curriculum. Some students have grown weary of me and I them, but that's okay. I've made some really solid connections with students this year and I'll miss them as they either graduate or move on to their senior year.

Parenting
Sometimes I feel like I'm doing this thing alright...other times I know I'm not. It's an up and down adventure but I feel that in the last two or three months I've gotten much closer to my son. I also feel that my wife and I are getting stronger the longer we are parents. We have settled into an awesome routine and I think we are all growing because of it. As we begin navigating the tricky waters of fertility and getting pregnant in the wake of miscarriage in the fall, we have a stronger resolve and a stronger marriage because of it. Get you one like that.

Running
For the love of all things holy, if the first two things are in good balance then running is what has suffered. I missed my target monthly mileage for the 3rd straight month...bearing in mind that we have only completed three months in 2019, so I'm 0-3. My runs feel better, I've gone longer distances, but my consistency has suffered and because of that my training is not where it should be. We're running the Flying Pig 10k in May, so that will be fun...miserable...but fun.

All things considered, I'm happy with where I'm at right now in most aspects of my life. I could always be better at all of the things listed above, but I will continue to make consistent efforts in being the best at these things I can be.

So, my question for you all is that I'm running short on idea making power...what should I write about next?

Let me know!
